CONFLUENCE 2010

The Student Organizing Committee would like to thank the students of all colleges for attending Confluence 2010, and making our effort a grand success. Thank you for participating in the hosted events. We hope our blog has been helpful in the days leading up to Confluence 2010. Therefore with this final post, we would like to close our blog. However, to all our friends, who have been regularly visiting this blog, one final information before we close.

Students of MUC Womens' College & Jadavpur University are requested to kindly collect their prizes from us. You can drop in on any working day, from Monday to Saturday. However, since we will be having classes, please inform us prior to your arrival. This will enable us to assist you better.

EVENT DETAILS: Lecture Series

The details for our event Lecture Series are as follows:

Prof. Biswajit Chatterjee, Professor of Economics, Jadavpur University, and President, Bengal Economic Association, has kindly agreed to deliver a lecture on Macroeconomics.

Prof. Tarun Kabiraj, Professor at ISI, Calcutta, has kindly agreed to deliver a lecture on Microeconomics.

Prof. Swati Ghosh, Professor of Economics, Rabindrabharati University, has kindly agreed to deliver a lecture on Development & Gender.


There will be an interactive session with the speakers afterwards.

We are happy to announce that Confluence 2010 will be inaugurated by our Chief Guest for this year, Prof. Mihir K. Rakshit.,  Director, Monetary Research Project at ICRA, Calcutta, President of Annual Econometric Society. He is also the Editor-in-Chief , Money and Finance.
